Why Having Your Cousin As Your BFF Is The Best
Let's be honest for a moment shall we? Having a Best Friend Forever is pretty amazing....BUT it is 10x better if your best friend also happens to be a family member!! Don't believe me? Let me show you a few reasons why :) Without further ado, travel down friendship lane with Morgan and me. Cousins and best friends <3

#1: You Grow Up Together
Morgan and I are just about one month apart in age. So, when I say we grew up together I mean it! We were flower girls in my parents wedding, playmates every summer and still to this day guard each others deepest secrets.
Growing up we fought....A LOT! (Don't believe me? Ask my grandma!) We were constantly getting in trouble.
Whether I was taken home, or we were put into separate rooms we always found a way to play together again within 5 minutes. Our secret.....the air vents between the rooms ;) Trouble makers and smart cookies! And, if I happen to be taken home (on the occasion that Morgan wants to wear sweatpants to jump on the trampoline and I DO NOT want to be caught dead with her wearing sweatpants outside for everyone to see. Yes, I know. The silliness of childhood.) I always called her as soon as I got home to apologize and was immediately driven back to her house for some more play time.
We have the coolest memories, from dressing up poor Mitchell in girl clothes, to some extreme hide and go seek in the dark (sometimes leaving mitchell to hide while we go off and do something else ;)) to some dance shows put on for our grandma. Every single day our grandma watched us and put up with our shenanigans and now that we've gotten older we look back on those days and occasionally miss them. But we're thankful for the memories since they helped us form the most amazing friendship a girl could ever ask for!
#2: You Always Know That They Will Be There
Growing up, and still to this day, (well, if I were not on a boat trip right now) we have always lived less than 1 mile from each other. So on those nights where I just needed to get away from everything and eat junk food and watch scary movies, I went to her house. Or, she came to mine if she needed the same. Not only have we always been there for each other, but we've always been the entertainment that kept us sane during family get togethers.
Thanksgiving day was always filled of football and too much food, but we always brightened the mood by caking each others noses with whipped cream and walking around the house singing "Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer."
Christmas was spent sitting beside each other and comparing all of the things each of us received from grandmas big bag of goodies.
Fourth Of July was cherished as we sat in each others boats and pointed out our favorite firework.
Easter was used as a time to dress up and look fabulous together.
And Super Bowl Parties were a regular time to eat too much potato leak soup!
So, while others see their best friends a lot, I've probably seen mine more. Because she was automatically invited to the family events too! :)
#3: They Know You Better Than Any Of Your Other Friends
Best friends are automatically known for knowing you better than anyone else. BUT, having a family member as your best friend takes it to a whole new level.
They know all about your crazy family, because they are apart of it. They're always in tune to your family drama and always have your back when it comes to the tough stuff.
I can honestly say that besides my mother, Morgan knows me better than I even know myself sometimes. So when I need some help finding myself again, I can always count on her to remind me of who I am :)
#4: They Make Great Adventure Companions
Not much needs said after seeing this amazing video. But, going on adventures with her is one of my favorite things! And the best part, mom never says no because she knows who you'll be with and that she can trust you. Score!!
#5: You Can Always Trust That You Won't Always Be The One Awkwardly Smiling In Family Pictures
Let's be real for a moment, family pics are awkward. Standing there smiling, waiting for a friend or other family member to get the picture just right. We all know it takes like 30 tries to get a good picture, and after the third you're pretty much just awkwardly waiting for permission to go back to what you were doing. So, Momo, thanks for standing on the other side of the camera with me! I couldn't find any Santa pictures, but there are too many to count!
#6: They've Always Got Your Back Because They're Family
Although she is my cousin I think of her more as a sister. She has had my back since day one and who knows what I would do without her! I love her to pieces and I know she returns that love. Our friendship grows every single day, even from miles away. I can always count on her to call or text when I need her the most!

Momo,
Thank you so much for the unending friendship you've given me. I know that you really will be my best friend forever! I treasure our friendship and wanted to share it with the world! You are amazing inside and out, and though we're miles apart right now, know that I'll always be stalking you with the Find My Friends App! I love you my stupid Italian ;)
