5 Things I Need To Thank My Best Friends For

Since today is officially National Best Friends Day I couldn't just sit and text all of my friends thanking them for all they do. I had to write about it. This post may be rather long but knowing my best friends they'll read the entire thing! So here are some things you all need to know.....

1) YOU have helped me become who I am today.

Now, a few of you have been around longer than others, but each and every one of you has helped me in some way, shape, or form. From learning to laugh at myself, to falling in love with music, to becoming addicted to Netflix and learning to love photo editing. Each of you has had a part in my life. I cannot thank you enough for being there and embracing who I am as a person, and for guiding me to embrace myself. I have become more confident because of you guys!

2)  We both know that I'm insane....but so are you!

I can think of some crazy stories about the trouble we would constantly get into together. Some of which should not be included in this blog, so we can text and talk about them later! Sometimes it was my idea and other times it was yours. Either way, we did some insanely dumb stuff, but hey, at least we never got caught! From experience I think it's safe to say that we both should be taken to an insane asylum.....

3)  I've worn more of your clothes than I have my own

We both know it's the truth. Whenever I wanna wear something different I always go to you. I ask to come over and try stuff on or for you to bring me an outfit or two. I've worn your t-shirts, socks, dresses, skirts, scarves, jewelry. The list goes on and on. So thanks for being my second closet!

4) Thanks for putting up with me

We both know I'm extremely sassy, can get rather grumpy, can be very defensive and no where close to perfect. Thank you for putting up with every single mood of mine that I throw at you. For loving me anyways, for always forgiving me and for always reminding me of my sweet side. And, of course, thank you for putting up with my introvertedness. It's not always easy, but you always find a way to accommodate to it and make me feel comfortable. That's probably why I'm the most extroverted around you, because you know how to bring out the extrovert in me the best!

5) Here's a note for each of you.....

Morgan
You were my first ever best friend, you know me better than I even know myself. You have been here for me throughout all of these years and have done so much for me. I have no idea what I would do without you. You're the person I always go to first to tell things to, whether I'm happy, sad, mad....you hear about it before anyone else. You hold my deepest, darkest secrets and protect them with your whole heart. You have videoed some of my most embarrassing moments, captured some ugly off guard pics, and have seen me at my worst. You've also captured some of our most treasured memories on camera, have helped my smile shine and have helped me look my best on days I needed it. You are the ultimate best friend and I am so blessed to have you. Thank you for EVERYTHING and Happy National Best Friends Day!! I love you!

Lots of girls bond by going to the mall, doing nails, messing around with hair and other girly things, but you and I have bonded in a much better way. Through music and food. I know you're laughing at that sentence, but lets be honest. We both love food! (We need to go to Carolina BBQ again like ASAP!) We have grown up singing together for years. You've always been my soprano and I'll forever be your alto. Even though we were both tossed around on parts in songs for MJ's sake. You helped open my eyes to the beauty and friendship music can create between two souls and I will forever be grateful for that. Thank you for traveling with me, singing with me, causing trouble with me and eating tons of food with me. Thank you for EVERYTHING and Happy National Best Friends Day!! I love you!

Lets be honest, we've had a few ups and downs recently. But through it all we both know we can count on each other. I've had some of the funnest adventures with you. Randomly going to a medina festival and getting bored and walking around until we stumbled upon a playground. Long boarding around your neighborhood. Walking in and out of Zumiez a thousand times. Driving with the music up and the windows down during the summer nights. Yelling at Ryan as we passed him at an ice-cream stand.....Those memories will forever be burned into my head. You have never let me lose the fun in life, in fact, because of you my life has become more fun. Dancing crazy in your room and just sitting and laughing at each other are funny and I'm sure if anyone saw us they would think we needed some major help! So thanks for bringing tons of fun into my life, and for cuddling with me during sleepovers instead of pushing me off the bed. Thank you for EVERYTHING and Happy National Best Friends Day!! I love you!

I may have been friends with Caleb before I became friends with you but through him I met you and I'm so happy I did! (BTW don't let him hold anything against you because you know me way better than he does!) You are very much like me and very much not like me, I think that's why we clicked so well. We are both very quiet and hate being surrounded by strangers, when we first became friends we were literally glued to each other. At youth group events I could always be found with you and you could always be found with me. You were an amazing help during those "awkward" stages of being the new girl at youth group, and for that I'm so thankful. You brought out the crazy in me, that's for sure! Or maybe it was just being around your family that made me crazy! Either way, I love our friendship and the unspoken sistership (I just made that word up haha) that we have. Thank you for EVERYTHING and Happy National Best Friends Day!! I love you!
