Modest Is Hottest (P.S.)

So the past three blogs we've talked about modesty and what the bible says about it. I decided to do one last blog and make it a lasting note on how I've used modesty in my life. So without further ado....Here's my tips and tricks on modesty!

#1: Let's get this over with ladies.....LEGGINGS ARE NOT PANTS. Sorry if you don't agree but this is something huge to me. I use leggings strictly as something to wear under dresses that may be a bit too short or under jeans for extra warmth. If I wear them under the dresses I make sure that the dress still covers my butt.

#2: You can still be fashionable and modest, but sometimes you have to compensate for things. Such as wearing a tank top under that V-neck shirt you like so much, or putting leggings under your short dresses. Another thing I make sure of is that my skinny jeans aren't too tight. I actually call them my "healthy jeans."

#3: Modesty isn't just about clothing, as we learned in our pasts blogs. When it comes to movie watching I always filter through a Christian movie review sight called Christian Spotlight. (To view it click here) This is so I make sure that what I'm seeing and hearing is honorable to God. Think of it this way, if God were sitting there watching the movie with you would you still want to watch it?

#4: The other tip is just to treat people with respect and with love. The golden rule right? Treat others how you want to be treated. This is NOT always easy! For those of you who know me and know how sassy I can be, holding my tongue is very much a struggle. But over the past few months God has helped me filter a lot of what has come out of my mouth. So be careful what you say, that the words you speak may help build someone up and build someone closer to Christ :)

God is good, modesty is good. If you ever have any other questions feel free to contact me! This is something I'm very passionate about and would love to share with others! Thanks for tagging alongside me on this modest is hottest journey!!
