"If you are the oldest child, be honored. It means that you were so awesome that your parents tried to duplicate."
I haven't always been the oldest. I was once an only child. Eleven years I was spoiled and had my parents all to myself, and then.....the original three became the crowded six.
The first to come along was Anna May. She was born November 27, 2007. She had fiery red hair and as time has gone on we've realized that it matches her fiery personality. She and I definitely push each other's buttons, but when it's all said and done she can make my heart melt with her dimples and her passion amazes me. Not to mention she makes a pretty good extrovert sidekick for the times I need to talk to someone, I can usually just send her in to do it for me.
The next to come along was Ella. She was born September 22, 2009. She was and still is our little pookie. She also happens to be my mini me, which means that although she is sweet and caring, she can also have a very sassy side. She is the cute one and has a passion for climbing on everything in sight.
The third and final one born was Mia. She was born February 19, 2011. She's our miracle baby. Born with a Congenital Heart Defect (CHD.) She's been fighting since day one and has outshined us all. She is the sunshine of our family and lights up everyone's life that she touches. We love her to pieces and she loves us just as much. She has a huge passion for people and isn't afraid to stop someone somewhere and say hi and ask their name.
And that's us. The fearsome four! The cool part is this...

It isn't exactly in order but it's still pretty cool! I love being a big sister. It definitely has it's challenges. But overall I think it's helped me as a person in this crazy world. My sisters really sparked my love for children and really opened my eyes to how much I would love being a missionary with kids surrounding me. (So yes my sisters really did drive me all the way crazy to Haiti ;) ) They also constantly remind me how much love I can truly have for people and life. But, the most important thing they do is teach me to be a better person!
When you're the oldest you are watched at EVERY SECOND OF THE DAY! I kid you now (no pun intended) everywhere I turn there is a little person either next to me or behind me. They watch every move I make, listen to every word I say and of course try to do the same things. It has really opened my eyes to how I say things or how I act. It has bettered me so I can better them. It is so fun to teach them new things about life and to watch their eyes grow wide as I tell them stories of when I was little. (Of course I leave out the spoiling parts.) And before you thing we're all perfect siblings we aren't even close. We all fight, a lot. We drive each other crazy and our parents too. We scream and fight and push and shove and grab things. We are not perfect, but at the end of the day we all know we are loved by one another.
Having sisters is such a blessing! And I wouldn't have it any other way!
