Things To Expect When Traveling The World With Your BFF

As most people know I was a part of a wonderful group known as the SCS (Summit Choral Society.) I was a member for exactly 11 years! It was an amazing experience and increased my love for music beyond measure. The last 4 years of my experience with this program was spent with my Touring Choir. In those 4 years we toured Canada, the southern states, New York and a few other places, California and Europe. So, now that you have the basics down, meet Sammy.

One of my best friends! She is my soul mate friend, the one who understands me and is just like me...but actually not. We are both opposite ends of the introvert spectrum, but we both LOVE music and have been through so much together. Our friendship never grows old! I have traveled each tour with her, and with that in mind here goes my post! (WARNING: Pictures will appear randomly throughout this post)

1) YOU WILL BORROW EACH OTHERS CLOTHES
You know that fancy dinner that wasn't on your schedule? Well guess what! There is one! And you're not prepared! You only packed one really fancy outfit and if you wear the same one twice EVERYONE will notice right?! So, of course, who better to turn to then your best friend/tour roomie? I cannot not even count the times we've worn each others outfits, whether it was for an unexpected fancy dinner or just a day out sight seeing. The best part is you know it's real when you arrive home from tour with some of their clothes packed in your suitcase that you totally forgot about.

2) YOUR HOTEL ROOMS WILL BE A MESS
This is someone you're comfortable around. It's not like you're rooming with a choir member you aren't close to! Why would your director even think of splitting you up? So you can be a slob and she won't even care, chances are she's just as much of a slob as you.

3) THERE WILL BE AN UNENDING AMOUNT OF PICTURES
Everyone takes pictures while they're somewhere new. But you mainly take ones of you and your best friend. You have to prove you were together every second right?! So, not only can people see that awesome building in the background but they also get to gaze at the twinning outfit you and your girl probably have on!

4) YOU WILL CAUSE MORE TROUBLE THAN YOU'RE WILLING TO TELL YOUR PARENTS ABOUT
You can't be expected to travel half way across the world with your bestie and not cause trouble. You will have many stories to tell, but you will also have some you will never tell. Those are the best though, the ones only you and her know about! Then you can laugh and talk about them all you want and no one will even understand!

5) YOU WILL GET CLOSER EVERY TRIP
You think you can't get any closer? Try going through a lifetime of traveling together. The endless walking tours, the late nights and early mornings, the pointless choir kid drama.....it will show every side of you. You two will become inseparable and will get closer and closer every day you're together. It will be amazing!

So here's to all of our adventures best friend! Traveling the world with you has been amazing, and maybe in the future we can travel somewhere again! I love you!
